Since January 2005 Cocktail Divers is offering a special tour “Snorkelling with Whalesharks” in combination with various smaller side trips on the way to Sorsogon / Donsol.
On this tour you are exclusively accompanied by our own staff.

Airport pick-up by COCKTAIL DIVERS (air con car transfer and boat to the resort).
9 nights accommodation at the “GARDEN OF EDEN” resort
(double bungalow with hot shower, toilet, room safe, veranda, aircon)

Iternary:

Day 1 - Travel to destination
05:30 am we board a banka (boat) taking us from Garden of Eden to Batangas. After a 70 min boat ride we’ll be awaited by air-conditioned mini busses. The ~10 hours ride will be interrupted by a lunch break and various short stops (i.e. to take pictures of the Vulcan Mount Mayon)

Day 2
08:00 am we take a 3mins walk to the tourism Office in order to register and receive a 12min. video briefing, on how to interact with the Whalesharks. Outing is 3 hours with a maximum of 6 persons per boat.

Good swimming skills are an advantage, because the Whalesharks are often very fast. Under water they seem motionless, but one single movement of their tail fin propels them several meters through the water. After the first encounter with a Whaleshark you will understand why many people consider this the experience of a lifetime.

These supposedly largest fish in the world appear in the mouth of the long and winding Donsol River in the Province of Donsol on a regular basis. Every year this phenomenon begins in December and reaches its peak between January and May, when large numbers of Whalesharks appear to feed on plankton and crayfish - their only diet. In spite of their impressive size they are peaceful animals and allow man to approach them fairly close. This amazing event attracts many tourists. Swim and snorkel with the giants of the ocean.

Day 3
A second chance to interact with Whalesharks. Again outing is 3 hours with a maximum of 6 persons per boat.

Day 4 - Returntrip

Leaving 05:30am from Vitton Resort. The ~10 hours ride to Batangas will be interrupted by breakfast and lunch breaks as well as various short stops. From Batangas you’ll either return to Garden of Eden Dive Resort or transfer to Manila for your trip back home.
